This year, due to the COVID pandemic, the BNA Annual Meeting will look a little different. It will be a drop in event rather than a sit down program event. So, stop in anytime from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 27, on the south lawn of Bethel Church. Stop down, get updates on neighborhood programs, and meet the Board of Directors. If the weather is poor, we will be inside the gymnasium. This year, we’re spacing the time out so you can stop by when it works for you, and so we don’t have a large crowd all at once.
We will have a few other community organizations on hand offering resources and information. Follow us on Facebook (facebook.com/bancroftneighborhood even if you don’t have a Facebook account) for more information as the event gets closer. Unfortunately, due to COVID, we will not have a community meal at this time. We’d like to do so later in the year once we receive the all clear to do so from health and elected officials.
Being on the board is a fun and interactive way to get to know more about the neighborhood. We have a lot of fun at our meetings and members become involved in projects that interest them. If you’re interested in running for a seat on the board, here is some more information: The BNA board meets on the first Thursday of every month. The meetings begin promptly at 7 p.m. and wrap up no later than 8:30 p.m. Board members are expected to attend all board meetings, serve on at least one committee, and attend the annual board training retreat (held at the BNA office). Please contact Luke at 612-724-5313 at the BNA office if you’re interested in serving on the BNA Board or fill out the form at bancroftneighborhood.org/board-interest.
