bancroft community garden interest form
This form will close at the end of the day on March 31st, 2026,
The Bancroft Community Garden is located on the 41st block of 16th Ave S, on Bethel Lutheran Church’s grounds. The space has been donated by Bethel and is managed by the Bancroft Neighborhood Association (BNA).
Plots open on May 1st and wrap for the season on October 31st each year.
The garden consists of 22 plots that are 10’ x 10’, and one 10’ x 20’ plot.
While water is available on-site, no other supplies are provided by the garden.
Plots cost $15-$30, depending on size. That fee can be waived based on need - please email info@bancroftneighborhood.org for more info.
Gardeners are expected to contribute 2 hours of time over the course of the 6-month season to help maintain shared spaces in the garden.
A lottery system is used to determine who receives plots, though preference is given to residents of the Bancroft neighborhood. There is a 1-plot limit per household.
The garden interest form will open for the 2026 growing season on March 15th and will close on March 31st. There will be a waitlist if there is more interest than available plots.
You’ll be notified by email on April 1st if you receive a plot. At that point, you’ll need to submit a signed gardening agreement and pay the fee to BNA by cash, check, or online in order to secure your spot.
